Po všetkých dohadoch, kedy aj bulvárny novinári striehli na každé nové foto, ktoré by potvrdzovalo jej tehotenstvo, to 40 ročná diva teraz oficiálne potvrdila v Today Show, ktorú vysiela americká televízna stanica MSNBC."Áno, čakáme bábätko. Je to pravda." nadšene Mariah zdelila túto správu moderátorovi Billymu Bushovi. Mariah však neprezradila, kedy sa má dieťatko narodiť "Je ešte veľmi skoro. Tehotenstvo je ale úžasné," povedala. "Najkrajším darom na svete je dieťa," dodal budúci otec, 30-ročný Nick Cannon. Mariah však prezradila, že už raz pred dvomi rokmi bola tehotná, bohužiaľ však potratila. Takže gratulujem Mariah a Nick a prajem, aby sa všetko vyradilo a aby bolo dieťatko zdravé.
